Anger Management & Behavioural Problems Program
What is Anger?
Anger is a completely normal, healthy, human emotion. When anger gets out of control and outside your window of tolerance, it can become destructive and lead to a range of problems, such as; at work, personal or professional relationships, and overall quality of life.
What is Anger Management?
Anger management is the process of learning to recognise signs that you’re becoming angry, and taking action to calm down and deal with the situation in a productive way. Anger Management doesn’t make you hold in angry emotions, it will help you develop helpful skills in order to best manage emotions where they no longer interfere/impact upon yours or others’ lives negatively.
Do I have anger issues?
You may have anger issues if:
- You feel angry often
- You feel that your anger seems out of control
- Your anger is impacting your relationships
- Your anger is hurting others
- Your anger causes you to say or do things you regret
- You’re verbally, emotionally, mentally or physically abusive
What therapy helps with Anger Management?
There are a range of cognitive and psychotherapy therapy approaches which help with Anger Management.
An assessment is the best start, as there is never a one size fits all approach and it very much depends on each individual, their specific circumstances, history and background. For further discussion or enquiries you can call 0409 185 551.
